| Dear Dharma Friends, When Khentrul Rinpoche met with His Holiness Katog Moksa Rinpoche this past winter, His Holiness discussed his plans to travel to Canada this year and his desire to visit Katog Choling’s main center in the US, Katog Rit’hrod, on the way. His Holiness Katog Moksa Rinpoche is the highest master and supreme head of the Katog lineage to which we belong. At 90 years old, His Holiness is one of the oldest living masters of the Nyingma lineage. We have requested that he give us the highest dzogchen [Great Perfection] empowerments – enabling us to learn and practice these pinnacle teachings in the future. If HH Moksa Rinpoche is able to travel here at this time, it will be his sole visit to the United States and the only opportunity to receive these transmissions from a master of his caliber in this lifetime. His Holiness and his entourage are in the process of getting visas; it is quite possible that they will be unable to obtain them. However, we want you to be able to plan for the possibility of his visit. If His Holiness is not able to visit us in October, Khentrul Rinpoche will teach a profound dharma text on approximately the same dates. In either case we will host an event at Katog Rit’hrod. |
